Race for Life returns to Poole!

Race for Life returns and turns Poole Pink!

Thousands of people joined forces today to turn Poole pink to raise valuable funds for life-saving research.

Poole took on a distinctly pink hue this weekend as more than 1,500 people turned up for this year’s Race for Life!

Mud, sweat and tears of joy flowed in equal measure as men, women and children competed in 3k, 5k, 10k or pretty muddy events on Baiter Park. All in aid of a common cause to raise donations to Cancer Research UK. Before the event kicked off, entrants had already raised a mightily impressive £68,172, a figure which is set to increase after the last competitor crosses the finish line!

Starting in Baiter Park, the Poole 5k headed out looping around Poole Park, under the railway line and entered Whitecliff Recreational Ground and Harbourside Park before finishing back in Baiter Park.
